License and Registration Please... words you dread to hear. Did you know that the defense of your speeding ticket in Court actually begins with your actions and statements (and silence) when you are pulled over by the police for a speeding ticket? Show respect and compliance at the stop. Make sure to shut your engine, turn off the radio, turn on your inside lights and keep your hands in the "ten-two position." Have your license, registration and insurance ready and make sure to cooperate without admitting guilt. These are the very basics that everyone should already know. In this course, you will learn the strategies that many people fail to use because they are unprepared for the experience and are generally angry at the unfairness of the situation. This is especially true when the driver is caught in a speed trap in a small town where the primary objective is revenue and not necessarily safety.

Expected Learning Outcomes:
The audience will learn how to contact the prosecution before trial and know what to say to them, plea strategies, using delay as a tactic, and learning when to cut your losses. The objective is to first defeat the ticket, but if that's not possible, plea to something that does not involve "points." You will also learn when it is necessary to obtain an attorney.
One Important Tip: Go to Court and watch how other cases are handled before your trial date to see if there is a typical "plea offer."
